Okay, next week I have a short 5-min presentation.
We are doing a case study on a 'design icon', its' material and manufacturing processes.
these are just the first few pages of the presentation.
please feel free to comment on any aspect (but preferably effective communication-wise. i.e does it clearly explain the manufacturing process?)
and also, i only want to hear the negative points regarding this presentation, so save the praises for other things (like my cooking)

hey...these are some of my suggestions...hope it'll be useful! :)
2nd slide - maybe you should consider having a heading?
how about having just one slide that showcases the product itself? like bigger and clearer picture?
4th slide - maybe you wanna just have points instead of sentences? (e.g. 1st point: lightweight, structually stiff & strong 2nd point: tubes & cylinders) This way, its helps your audience to read fast and refocus their attention on you. And because its in point forms, your audience would wanna hear what you have to say about those points. That's when you can score points for your presentation! Your professor will also be able to know how well prepared you are and how much understanding you have regarding the topic you're working on.
i hope its helpful! :)
for a product design class,
i think everyone would be interested in the visual aesthetics.
so id think there sld be 1 slide on the different views of the product.
the pic you have is the same on all 5 slides which can be abit boring.
if possible, different views + cross section even / the product in your "ideal" place/ambience to further illustrate how you see the product as (eg. classy ambience / zen like/ resort blablabla)would help alot too.
also, agree with love monster (elaine?) that your slides should be more point form rather than a wall of text. ppl wont bother reading/get bored easily.
use ur charm to elaborate on each point!
haha
alright thanks! il go thru the slides again and repost by the end of the week! thank u!
okay i have made the changes already.
thanks again
agree should have different views and even cross section, but for this product thats quite hard to get.
anw this topic is solely about the manufacturing so dont have to do the setting thing luckily
woohoo
you're welcome.
hahaah
how come no more pics.
i like to see pics.
woot.
weeeeekends! ;)
